Ronnie Romero-Raised On Radio ©2022 Frontiers Records
Here is a guy that has really made a name for himself in recent years. He has been a go to for many different musicians and projects. This time Ronnie takes you on a musical journey through cover songs that were influential in shaping him as a musician. A lot of these bands covered shaped my personal tastes as well, so this album was particularly enjoyable for me. You have bands such as Bad Company, Survivor, Foreigner, Queen, Led Zeppelin and others. Romero does a very good job with each song showing respect to each. The sound is faithful and almost like an enhancement in terms of sound and technology. It's a covers album for those who enjoy that sort of thing. I find them fun and go in looking for the little things that the performer brings to each to almost personalize the music. Great artist and song choices here!

Poison Rose-Little Bang Theory ©2022 Frontiers Records
Poison Rose is another Frontiers project that was built around vocalist Marco Sivo. The band can be classified as a melodic metal band. The musicians involved in this band have worked with Sivo before so there is some chemistry already established. Secret Sphere's Aldo Lonobile, Edo Sala from Sunstorm, Andrea Seveso who's worked with Robin McAuley, and none other than Alessandro Del Vecchio who has worked with a huge number of bands and musicians. The band's sound works well and has a catchy feel to it. With it being metal, it has a slightly heavier feel at times, but the melodic element is hugely important on why these songs work so well. Plenty of crunch in the guitar sound, but there is also good depth and atmosphere here as well. This album has a very cohesive batch of tunes. Whatever side of the metal spectrum you like, this one is great!

Nazareth-Surviving The Law ©2022 Frontiers Records
There is absolutely no denying the impact that Nazareth has had on the rock and metal scene literally for decades. This is a very historical and important band that has influenced so many. 'Surviving The Law' is their latest record that showcases some fairly vintage sounding songs with an updated sound due to today's technology. Songs are quite catchy with a cool groove on each song. You get a lot of music here as well with the album containing 14 tracks total. Nazareth was an early band for me. Like everyone else, 'Hair of the Dog' as a whole had an impact on shaping my musical taste. It's nice to hear more consistency with this record. The band really have nothing to prove at this point. Carl Sentance once again does a great job of infusing his vocals into these songs and the results are splendid. For fans of rock, this one is a no brainer. Get it!

The Big Deal-First Bite ©2022 Frontiers Records
The Big Deal is a very good melodic hard rock band out of Serbia. The band is fronted by not just one, but two female vocalists which has a great effect. The music has some decent variety to it with some of the songs leaning a bit more to the heavier side of the spectrum and also more melodic songs as well. There is no denying that there is plenty of melodic element to each song on the album. It's a nice balance overall. Tunes are fairly memorable from the start. The band did release some cover songs that can be viewed via YouTube as a bit of an introduction to their sound. Covered are Europe, Nightwish, and ABBA. How's that for some versatility. I feel the band sound energized and confident. As fans we are lucky that Frontiers has this amazing ability to reach around the globe and find great artists. Definitely worth your time!

Skills-Different Worlds ©2022 Frontiers Records
If you've been listening to rock for any amount of time, you will more than likely recognize some of the musicians that make up this band. Being an Electric Mob fan I recognized Renan Zonta as this band's vocalist. Rounding out the band are members Brad Gillis, Billy Sheehan and David Huff. Like I said, you'll recognize these guys as they have been on the scene for a long time. What makes this collaborative release fun is the chemistry. Bringing seasoned musicians together and indulging in the creation. Skills is absolutely solid. Music is a tight, yet gritty hard rock sound. Each member brings a lot to the band's sound. Take your time and pay attention to each part. Break it down and you'll find a lot to like here. Obviously there is plenty of flash. Very tight sounding record. I am hoping that we will get more down the road from these four guys! Excellent!
